Description:

This is a set of leather pommel holsters for an officer of the 17th Lancers. The holsters are composed of brown leather with a brass decorative cap at the bottom. They are joined together at the top and have a one-piece black patent leather flap lined with white cotton cloth for both holsters. The flap has a large silvered 17th Lancers skull badge on each side. There is a leather strip with a hole on the inside of the flap and a leather knot fastener on the body of the holster. A long leather strap runs straight down to go underneath the horse.

Rating Definition:

Very good, the patent leather shows cracks, flaking and wear with the cloth lining having tears and stains. The silver badges have a dark aged patina. The brass has a generally bright appearance with some dings and wear. There are some scattered light scratches on the holster bodies.
