Description:

1) 17th Lancers blacksmith's regimental account book. This book has a brass lock with the key and a silvered 17th Lancers badge. Some of the pages are filled out with information and are dated 1889 at the top. 2) This is a 17th Lancers officer's field glasses case composed of black patent leather with a silvered 17th Lancers badge. The interior is lined with red velvet. The bottom is stamped "17/L". There are two brass attachment points with one on each side. The attachment hardware is decorated with floral patterns.

Rating Definition:

1) Good, the book has stains on the cover and the rear locking mechanism plate is loose. 2) Good, the patent leather has crazing, indentions and wear. The silvered badge has a dark aged patina. The strap that holds the lid on is torn. The faded interior shows some wear.
