This is a beautiful example of an original, DWM Model 1906 commercial "American Eagle" Luger. This series/variation of Luger was manufactured expressly for sale in the United States and is fitted with the correct short style frame and upper receiver with the 3 7/8 inch later style barrel versus the early fast taper style. It has the correct grip safety with the polished lower safety area and the correctly marked, "LOADED" extractor. Numbered in the commercial style with full serial number (34872) stamped on the underside of the barrel and front of the frame with the last two digits of the serial number (72) stamped on the various small parts. The front end of the frame is also stamped "GERMANY" indicating export outside of Europe. It is complete with one nickel plated magazine with the original wooden base correctly stamped in script "Cal 9mm" lengthwise on the bottom.

Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish overall with extremely minor wear present on the bottom of forward grip strap. The various small parts show 98% of their bright original colors overall. The grips are also excellent with slight bottom edge wear. The pistol has matching numbers except the firing pin. An exceptional example of a scarce Model 1906 American Eagle 9mm Luger pistol.
