Description:

This an early "b" serial number suffix, all original Luger pistol as produced in early 1913. The chamber is dated 1916 and the front toggle is marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension has the standard three "Crown/Gothic letter" proofs next to the "Imperial Eagle" proof, and the left side has the four digit serial number. The bottom of the barrel has the correct four digit serial number and letter suffix, with the bore diameter "8,82" below that. Above the serial number it is marked "BO26" indicating that the barrel was manufactured from Bohler Steel, a high quality steel used sometimes to supplement standard DWM/Mauser production. The safety and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. Standard military serial number markings with the full serial number on the main components with the last two digits "86" of the serial number. It has standard fixed sights with an early production nickel plated magazine with a wooden base, with only a single "Crown/Script letter" proof.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 95% plus of the original factory rust blued finish with thinning on the frame rails, side plate hump and muzzle area of the barrel, the grip straps are solid showing almost no wear. The small parts retain 90% of their original straw colors overall. The grips are in excellent condition with a nice matching medium brown color overall showing minor light wear overall with just a couple of very light minor pressure marks on the right side from the stud on the holster. As noted this Luger has all matching numbers except the magazine as noted above and the firing pin which is unnumbered. An excellent example of a very early pre-WWI DWM Luger pistol.
