This is an example of a Colt Ace Model that was manufactured in 1936. The slide retains the original front and adjustable rear sight and is marked on the left side with the elongated two line address/patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt and the right side is marked with the distinctive "COLT" followed by "ACE" in a diamond followed by "22 LONG/RIFLE". The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number and the upper left front of the trigger guard is marked "X" over the "VP" triangle proof with "60" on the opposite side. The pistol has the original checkered trigger, slide stop, magazine release, thumb safety, wide hammer and arched mainspring housing. Two tone magazine marked on the bottom of the base "COLT/ACE/22 L.R." and is fitted with checkered walnut grips. Includes the factory maroon box with matching number on the bottom and an original instruction sheet.

Excellent with 98% original blue finish with scattered minor scratches, some scratches on the front grip strap, Some wear on the sharp edges of the back grip frame and around the muzzle end of the slide. The box is about good, with some tape repairs and edge wear, the original label is mostly intact.
