Description:

Manufactured in 1917. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, Rampant Colt behind the serrations and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" on the right. "GHS" inspected frame, with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the front left side, long trigger, wide hammer, "P/H" barrel, short grip safety and flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Checkered walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 75% of the original blue finish, showing bright edge wear, areas of brown and gray patina, scattered spotting and handling marks. A number of dents are present on the left side serrations. Grips are very good, with some dents and flat spots. Mechanically excellent.
