Description:

1) Copy of the painting titled "The Thin Red Line" by Robert Gibb shows the Sutherland Highlanders red-coated 93rd Regiment at the battle of Balaclava on the 25th of October in 1854 during the Crimean War. Sir Colin Campbell led this engagement where the 93rd was aided by a small force of Royal Marines and some Turkish infantrymen to route a Russian cavalry charge. 2) Copy of the painting titled "Alma: Advance of the 42nd Highlanders" by Robert Gibb showing the 42nd Highlanders or The Black Watch advancing up the slopes of the hills overlooking the River Alma. Thus defeating the Russian defenders in a victory for the British during the Crimean war.
