Manufactured in 1942. This carbine features a hooded ramp beaded blade front sight and non-factory installed receiver mounted Lyman peep sight. The rear sight dove tail has a filler block installed. The left side of the barrel is marked "-WINCHESTER/PROOF STEEL-MODEL 64-WINCHESTER/-TRADE MARK- 30 W.C.F.-", the right is marked with the two line address and the Winchester oval proof is on the top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Three line upper tang marking and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. All blue finish, 3/4 length magazine tube and mounted with a checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a Winchester hard rubber grip cap, checkered steel buttplate and sling swivel bases.

Excellent. The carbine retains 99% of the original blue finish. The wood is very fine with a reglued chip of wood on upper left wrist at frame junction, a few minor pressure dents and handling marks, and crisp checkering. The markings are very crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
