This is a Model 1908 Commercial Luger as produced by the DWM factory. These early 1908 pattern Lugers were made without hold-open catch, and no stock lug. The chamber area is blank with the rear toggle having the DWM logo markings, the right side of the barrel extension, underside of the barrel and left side of the barrel extension, breech block and front toggle are all stamped with a single "Crown/N" firing proof. This luger is correctly serial numbered in a commercial style, with the full serial number on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel, with the last two digits on the various other parts. It has standard sights and walnut grips. It is fitted with a correct unmarked nickel plated, magazine with a wooden base marked "GERMANY" on the bottom. This Luger is complete with a unmarked brown commercial leather holster.

Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish overall with minor edge and high spot wear. The top center of the barrel exhibits a wear mark perpendicular to the bore, approximately one-half inch long. The grips are excellent with nice distinct checkering overall with only minor wear across the tops of the checkering in a few places. The various small parts retain 85% of their straw colors. The holster is excellent with a nice even medium brown color overall with minor scuffs, and scratches with nice tight stitching overall. The Luger itself has all matching numbers, except the magazine as noted above, the firing pin and grips are unnumbered. A very nice example of a 1908 Commercial Luger pistol.
