1) 1942 pattern stahlhelm, green paint finish with stamped vent holes, flared bottom edge, and the silver and black SS shield decal on the right side. Stamped "164/4109" inside the brim, with "56" ink stamped on the webbing. 2) Black canvas flag measuring 33 inches tall and 48 1/2 inches long, each side bearing a pair of white "SS" sig-runes inside a 24 inch tall, 21 inch wide white diamond. Established in 1940, the Nederlandsche SS (aka Germaansche SS in Nederland) served chiefly as a political formation and source of recruits for the Dutch Waffen-SS Divisions.

1) Very fine, with areas of brown patina and mild scuffing on the exterior, a mixed brown color on the interior, and wear on the liner, concentrated on the lower edge. The lacing and chinstrap are absent. 2) Good, with some areas faded to brown on the field and minor staining and handling marks overall. One will have to make their own opinion on these items in regards to authenticity.
