An excellent example of a 1920 era commercial luger in the scarce 9mm Luger caliber instead of the more common commercial 7.65mm Luger. This particular example has a blank chamber area with the front toggle marked with the "DWM" logo. The left side of the barrel extension, the underside of the barrel and the left side of the toggle link are all marked with the commercial "Crown / N" proof mark. The front of the frame has the military style four digit serial number with the letter suffix and is correctly marked "GERMANY" indicating this pistol was intended for export outside of Germany. The various smaller parts are marked with the last two digits of the serial number. It is complete with one unmarked magazine with a replacement base marked "GERMANY".

Very good as restored with 98% plus of the blue finish remaining. The barrel and grip straps were properly restored to match the rest of the pistol. The grips are in excellent condition with a nice light brown matching color on both sides with almost no handling marks. The Luger has clear sharp markings overall. It has all matching numbers except the magazine as noted above. Writer cannot recall seeing many 9MM 1920 DWM Lugers!
