Desirable, pre-WWII, 1939 dated Mauser Luger, marked "42" on the top of the toggle. Two "eagle/63" proofs and the spread winged eagle firing proof appear on the right side of the barrel extension with the same proofs appearing on the sides of the barrel. The upper safety area and extractor are properly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. The blued, unmarked magazine has an aluminum base marked "1/1033/t".

Very fine overall with 90% of the original blue finish showing wear on the edges and high spots, overall with thinning on the grip straps, with cold blue present on the side plate hump and left side of the muzzle area. The grips are very good overall with nice checkering on both sides showing even honest wear mixed with some light pressure dents and handling marks. The pistol has matching numbers except the magazine as noted above and the right grip panel, which is numbered 79.
