Description:

This is a unique WWI 1918 dated Luger that was manufactured by the DWM factory that appears to have been one of the last produced. It is marked 1918 over the chamber area on the barrel extension, with the standard DWM logo on the first toggle. It has the standard military style serial number markings, with the full serial number on the underside of the barrel, the front of the frame and barrel extension, with matching numbers on the various other parts except the magazine and the grips. It has the standard extractor and safety area markings and is complete with one original nickel plated magazine that has an original wood base that is marked with only "65/+" and no other proof marks.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 95% of the slightly faded blue. Traces of straw colors remain. The grips are very fine overall, with nice original checkering overall showing light wear across the tops of the checkering with some minor handling marks and light pressure dents on the left grip. As noted this Luger has all matching numbers except the magazine (which looks like it matches, but doesn't) and the grips which are unnumbered. A unique example of a late WWI Luger pistol
