This rifle was built on a standard Remington 700 short action that has been lightened, the bolt has been hollowed and fluted, the trigger adjusted and a lightweight contour barrel with muzzle brake installed. The left side of the barrel is marked "308 WIN", the left side of the receiver is marked "MICHAEL C. BARRETT" and the right side of the receiver is marked "MGA/ULTRA-LIGHT". The receiver has Ironsighter two-piece scope base/rings with a Kahles 3-9x42mm scope with flip up lens covers and a scope cover. Mounted on a smooth synthetic pistol grip stock with sling swivel studs, blind magazine and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. With camo adjustable sling.

Excellent, 99% of the gunsmith applied matte black finish with some finish wear on the muzzle brake and a few spots along the barrel. The stock is also excellent with a few light marks. The scope is excellent as well with clear optics.
