Manufactured in 1908, this rifle has a Marble's Sheard front sight and a King patent marked elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked with the address and patent dates in two lines. The left side of the barrel is marked with the nickel steel marking and the caliber "33 W.C.F.". The Winchester proof mark is on the top of the barrel and receiver. The left rear side of the receiver has two non-factory holes tapped with filler screws for sight mounting. The top tang has the three line second style marking. The patent dates and serial number are marked on the lower tang. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with checkered steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fair, 20% of the original blue finish remains mostly in the protected areas with a smooth brown/gray patina on the balance. The right side of the receiver is damaged where an attempt was made to pry on the loading gate. The lightly sanded wood is good with scattered minor scratches, dings and a filler repair on the left side of the toe. Mechanically fine.
