Manufactured circa late 1830s to 1841. Top barrel flat has the address with "CAST STEEL" on the upper left flat. Unique one piece hammer and trigger. Cast brass frame and handle. Barrel numbered to gun. Consignor notes state that pistol once belonged to firearms expert and author Norm Flayderman.

Very good. The barrel and hammer have a smooth crisp dark gray patina. Front sight is missing. The fine brass has an attractive appearance. Mechanically needs work.
