This nicely figured rosewood case fits a four inch Colt model 1848 Baby Dragoon Revolver without loading lever and measures 10 1/8 inches wide, 5 5/8 inches deep and 2 inches tall. The case is partitioned with four compartments and is lined in royal purple velvet. The lining on the inside of the lid is padded. The hinges are brass and the blank initial plaque on the outside of the lid is also brass. The round lock ivory escutcheon has a raised border. Included with the case is the key and an Eley Brothers percussion cap tin for centerfire breech loading cases with caps.

Fine with a few hairline cracks along the grain, a loose lid side and some minor handling marks. The lining has some wear
