Manufactured in 1886. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/Elliot's patent dates just ahead of the rear sight, the left side of the barrel is marked "32 Cal" and below that are several British proof marks as well as ".3000". A "crown/ V" proof mark is marked on the left upper side of the receiver at the breech and the Rampant Colt is marked on the side. Block blade front sight and folding leaf carbine rear sight graduated to 900 yards. Saddle ring and staple are mounted on the left side of the receiver. Mounted with a checkered forearm and plain straight grip stock with a iron carbine buttplate.

Very fine. The carbine retains 60% plus original blue finish, thinning in areas giving way to a smooth plum patina. The buttplate is a mix of bright original blue finish and a smooth brown patina. The wood is also very fine with smooth minor bruising in the otherwise crisp checkering, and overall there are some scattered minor dings. Mechanically fine. The markings remain crisp and clear.
