Produced between 1887 and 1904, this rifle was manufactured in 1901. Features dovetailed fixed sights, a half magazine, case colored hammer, checkered forearm and smooth straight grip stock. The top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG.CO HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED MAY 29, SEPT. 18, 83, MAY 26, 85, JUNE 15, 86, FEB. 22, 87", the left rear flat is marked "22 Cal.", the Rampant Colt is marked on the left side of the frame and the serial number located on the lower tang. Mounted with a forearm and straight grip stock with a checkered hard rubber buttplate with the Rampant Colt in the center.

Very fine. The rifle retains 85% original bright blue finish with some scattered thinning and flaking, overall high edge wear and some streaking on the receiver. About half of the upper tang has a smooth gray patina. The wood is very fine with some speckled finish loss on the stock. Overall there are a few minor dings and scratches. The barrel markings are sharp, the receiver marking is clear. The action is excellent.
