Manufactured circa 1807 to 1940 with this example fitted with the rare 1 1/2 inch barrel. The included factory letter confirms the barrel length, finish and grips. The revolver was shipped on September 8, 1938 to Foster-Thronberg, Huntington, West Virginia. Matching serial number on butt, cylinder, barrel and latch. The barrel has the caliber marking on the right side and "SMITH & WESSON" marked on the left side, with the right side marked with the S&W trademark and "MADE IN U.S.A." Fitted with checkered S&W monogram grips.

Very fine. The revolver retains 70% original nickel finish with the balance as smooth gray patina with some light flaking. The grips are very fine with some chipping around the screw (right panel) and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.
