This is an example of a very a scarce mid-production Commercial contract Mauser Banner Luger Pistol. The top of the chamber is dated 1937 and it has the standard Mauser Banner trademark on the first toggle. This pistol falls into the range of those generally considered as a standard commercial Luger that was neither intended for sales outside Germany or Europe, nor a military or Police contract. The left side of the barrel extension and the left side of the breech block are all stamped with a single "Crown/U" commercial proof acceptance mark with no other proofs on the pistol. The safety components, extractor and breechblock are blank, otherwise external numbers match, including the "eagle/63" proofed magazine. Fitted with straw finished small parts, niter blue screws and pins, and checkered hardwood grips.

Excellent plus, with 99% plus original blue finish, showing minimal handling marks overall. Straw colors are original and 99% intact. A few small dents are present on the grips, which are excellent and sharply checkered. Mechanically excellent.
