These Krieghoff Luger Semi-Automatic pistols were in production from 1935 to 1945 with this example being produced in 1936. Krieghoff Lugers were manufactured almost exclusively for the Luftwaffe. The two digis "36" is marked on the chamber area and the C-1 type marking "H anchor K/KRIEGHOFF/SUHL" on the toggle link. The right side of the barrel extension has the Luftwaffe acceptance proof and LWaA inspection stamp. The barrel is marked on the underside with the serial number, LWaA inspection stamp, bore diameter and second Luftwaffe barrel proof on the right side. LWaA proofs are present inside the side plate, trigger lever, left side of the breechblock and rear toggle, underside of the front toggle, firing pin and firing pin spring retainer, along with matching numbers and/or Krieghoff Eagle "2" proofs on the above parts except the mismatched side plate (92), plus the frame, latch, trigger, safety, hold open and extractor. Fitted with a set of checkered brown plastic grips with "8964" (cast in oval relief pattern) and "HRS" marked on the inside. The small components show a straw finish, with niter blue screws, checkered brown plastic grips. With a brown leather holster marked "KARL BOCKER/WALDBROL" and "1936". The nickel finished magazine has an aluminum base stamped with a "droop eagle/63" proof and "8352/k", the extra blue magazine is marked "8931/q" with a "eagle/63" proof and there is a blue takedown tool marked with a single proof.

Very fine, 75% plus original blue finish with the side plate being a mismatched correct Krieghoff proofed replacement ("92"). The side rails, side plate, high edges and barrel have some wear with some light pin prick pitting on the muzzle and side rails. Straw colors remain 40% intact. The back strap has some areas of brown patina. The holster is good with overall wear including scratches and scuffs. This example would most definitely represent and fill the Krieghoff spot in your collection!
