Description:

This is an excellent example of a DWM Model 1906 American Eagle Luger in scarce 9 mm caliber. Approximately 11,000 of these pistols were manufactured and only 3,000 were chambered in the 9mm. The pistol has the distinctive "American Eagle" crest on the chamber and the "DWM" monogram on the toggle. The matching serial number is marked on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel and "GERMANY" is marked on the front of the frame under the serial number. The last two numbers of the serial number "80" is marked on some of the small components. Standard blade front and fixed notch rear sights, polished lower safety position, grip safety and "LOADED" marked extractor. Fitted with checkered walnut grips. The magazine is plated with a wooden base marked "Cal. 9m/m".

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains 97% original blue finish with some mild muzzle and high edge wear. The straw color has been partially restored and 50% of the straw color remains. The takedown lever shows the most loss. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dings and sharp checkering. The markings remain crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
