This is an example of a post WWI manufactured DWM Model 1920 commercial semi-automatic pistol. The top of the chamber is blank and the front toggle link is marked with the "DWM" logo. The left side of the barrel extension, the underside of the barrel and the left side of the toggle link are marked with the commercial "crown/N" proofmark. The right side of the barrel extension is marked "MADE IN GERMANY" and the matching serial number is marked on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel. The partial serial number "11" is marked on some of the small parts. Standard fixed sights, blue finish, straw finish small parts, unmarked nickel magazine with wooden base, stock lug and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Fine. The pistol retains 75% plus original blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear, and a smooth brown patina on the grip straps. Half of the original straw color remains on the small components. The grips are fine overall with some moderate wear and a few dings on the left panel and a few minor pressure dents on the right panel. Overall the checkering is crisp. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
