This is an outstanding example of a post-war Model 49 semi-automatic rifle as manufactured by FN Herstal for Venezuela. This was the first successful attempt by FNH to produce a semi-automatic rifle after WWII. The rifle is equipped with blade front and tangent rear sights. The top of the chamber is stamped with the Venezuelan crest and the one line FN address is stamped on the right side of the receiver. Mounted with a smooth pistol grip stock featuring a forearm with grasping grooves and a smooth buttplate.

Excellent plus, with 99% of the black finish, showing light handling marks. The stock is also excellent plus. Mechanically excellent. FN49's do not come any better than this exceptional example!
