Manufactured in 1956 and subsequently embellished in gold inlay and finely executed scroll engraving. The top of the barrel is marked with the one-line address and "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY 45" on the left side. Both markings have a gold inlaid border with outwardly pointing arrows on each end. There is a single thin gold band around the muzzle and outer edge on the muzzle end of the ejector housing and a double thin gold inlaid bands around the breech end and breech end outer edge of the ejector housing. The left side of the frame is marked with the two-line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. There are gold inlaid wire borders and accents on the frame and loading gate. In addition there is a gold inlaid eagle perched on a branch on the recoil shield and there is a gold inlaid steer skull in a desert scene on the right side of the frame. The edges of the trigger guard have a feather design with gold inlaid accent at the front and the bottom of the trigger guard bow has a geometric design with a gold inlaid diamond in the center. The back strap, butt and lower front strap have a gold inlaid wire border. Matching serial numbers on the bottom of the frame and on the left side of the front and back straps under the grip. All blue finish, standard fixed sights and fitted with smooth ivory grips with Colt medallions.

Near new as masterfully embellished, retaining 99% blue finish with only the slightest handling/storage marks. The ivory grips are as new.
