Marked "FRASER'S PATENT/NO 188" on top of the receiver ring with a "crown/V" on the upper left of the receiver, and a "crown/BV" to the right of the marking, and no other visible markings. Action is a No. 188. Ramped blade front sight and three folding, one fixed leaf rear sight on a quarter rib. The leafs are unmarked and are without sighting notches. There is a lever mounted on the right side of the action to lower the breech block and the action, trigger guard, trigger guard plate and upper tang have a geometric and simple line engraved border. The barrel appears to have been left in the white with the remaining parts finished blue. Tang mounted safety and mounted with a multi-point checkered Turkish walnut forearm with contrasting forend and pistol grip stock with a steel grip cap, cheek piece and steel buttplate. Consigner notes that the stock was done by Darwin Hensley of Oregon. This is one of a matched pair with Turkish Walnut stocks cut from the same tree. The included American Custom Gunmakers Guild certificate from the Office of the Historian recognizes that the stock work described above is that of Darwin Hensley, is one of a matched pair stocked by Darwin Hensley and has been recorded in the ACGG's Custom Gun Archive.

Rating Definition:

Good. The barrel remains bright. The remaining surfaces have been cleaned bright with some of the engraving and the "SAFE" on the upper tang absent. The trigger guard and plate have a weld repair. The grip cap and buttplate have light scratches from being cleaned. The wood is excellent with a few minor dings and sharp checkering. The action is fine.
