The Farquharson action is marked "J. PURDEY & SONS/LONDON" on the left side and "FARQUHARSON/PATENT" on the right side. The barrel has a quarter rib at the rear and barrel band target block at the muzzle with the left side at the breech marked ".277 ELLIOTT-EXPRESS". The nicely figured custom pistol grip stock and forearm have multi-point checkering, horn forend tip, scroll engraved steel grip cap, sling swivel recess bases, cheekpiece and flat checkered steel buttplate.

Refinished. The rifle retains 80% thinning blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the trigger guard and lever. The replacement wood has a minor chip missing near the receiver and some minor handling marks. Overall the checkering is crisp. Mechanically fine.
