Description:

One of approximately 4,946 rifles NRA sporters manufactured and is listed by serial number in the summary of D.C.M. Rifle sales. Lyman globe front sight and Lyman fully adjustable rear peep sight mounted on the right rear of the receiver. The barrel is marked "S A/flaming bomb/3-27" and is marked with a star at the muzzle. The bolt is electropenciled to match the gun. Mounted on a smooth Model 1922 pistol grip stock that was hand bedded to the rifle with two stock reinforcing bolts, one barrel band marked with a "U" and a checkered cupped steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as partially refinished (trigger guard assembly), with 80% original blue finish on balance with some thinning along the barrel and some high edge wear. The modern replacement stock is fine with some scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
