Also known as the New Model Number Three Navy, the 44 Double Action was produced from 1881 to 1913. Lyman blade sight with ivory bead accent and serrated rear face, and a raised "U" notch rear sight, with the two line address and patent markings fronted by a Maltese Cross on top of the rib, and matching serial numbers on the barrel, cylinder and butt. Fitted with casehardened hammer and trigger, blued rear-recurve triggerguard, and a pair of smooth mother of pearl grips.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with 85% of the original nickel finish, showing light scratches and flaking overall. Traces of the original case colors are present on the sides of the trigger, with silvering on the remainder. Grips are very good, slightly undersized, with a small chip on the left panel. Mechanically excellent.
