Manufactured from 1868 to 1881 this is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson Model 1 3rd Issue revolver. The top of the barrel rib has the standard address and patent dates marking. The front face of the cylinder is stamped "B7" and the barrel lug is stamped "B7/C" with the serial number stamped on the butt and the back of the right grip panel. Nickel finish with casehardened hammer and trigger. Fitted with varnished rosewood bird head grips.

Excellent plus. The revolver retains 99% plus original nickel finish with showing only a slightly visible cylinder drag line. The hammer and trigger retain 97% bright original stunning case colors. The grips are excellent with a few very minor handling marks and retaining most of the original varnish. Mechanically excellent. One of the highest condition S&W 1st Model 3rd Issues we have ever offered!
