Description:

The left side of the barrel has the Winchester marking "WRACO" (Winchester Repeating Arms Company). According to the included factory letter, Winchester purchased some of these revolvers for ammunition testing, however, a list of these revolvers by serial number does not exist. The factory letter also states that the revolver was manufactured in 1874. The ejector pin has been re-enforced giving credence to the idea it was a test gun for Winchester. Standard barrel rib marking with the barrel lug marked "78/N/C". The right grip panel is numbered to the gun.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 60% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The cylinder has some minor pin point pitting. The grips are fine with high edge wear and some minor handling marks.
