Manufactured in 1890. This casehardened frame Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle has a blade front sight (bead missing), an adjustable buckhorn rear sight and a full length magazine tube. The top of the round barrel has the two line address stamped ahead of the rear sight and "40-82 W.C.F." at the breech. The upper tang is stamped "-MODEL 1886-" and the lower tang is marked with the two line patent date and the serial number. Mounted on a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with steel forend cap and crescent buttplate.

Fine. The barrel and magazine retain 70% thinned original blue finish. The forend cap, frame, hammer and lever retain 30% bright original case colors with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The magazine tube ferrul is missing the pin. The bolt retains most of the original blue finish. The wood is fine with some minor handling marks and a putty filled blemish on lower right side. Mechanically excellent.
