This Marlin Model 1895 Lever Action Rifle was manufactured in 1906. There is a fixed blade front sight, a filler block in the rear dovetail and a Hepburn adjustable rear sight mounted on top of the receiver. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates marking with the left side marked with "SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL.". The top of the receiver is marked "MARLIN SAFETY" and the top tang is marked "MODEL/1895". Mounted on a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with sling swivels and a curved steel buttplate.

Fine, 60% of the original blue finish remains with some scattered minor scratches and dings on the barrel and a brown streaked patina on the magazine tube. The casehardened components retain traces of the original case colors in the protected areas with the balance a silver patina. There are some tool marks on the rear barrel band and front sight. The lightly sanded wood is fine and has minor scratches and dings overall. Mechanically fine.
