Manufactured in 1960. The barrel has been threaded with a muzzle brake added, has the "type 7" front sight ramp with replacement Lyman beaded blade sight, marked with the "style 5" barrel marking and has a first type "African" rear sight with the adjustable component removed and a filler block installed with a dovetail holding a heavy duty fixed sight. There are Talbot scope mounts on the receiver with scope rings and a Swarovski 1.25-4x24 Habicht scope with lens cover. Marked "SUPER GRADE" on the floor plate, "late" safety and hollow bolt knob. Mounted on a highly figured custom walnut pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering, raised cheekpiece, sling studs and a recoil pad.

Professionally custom built/refinished, 95% blue finish with a bright patch on the barrel and some scattered minor freckling. The custom deluxe stock is very fine with some scattered dings. The recoil pad is deteriorating. The scope is excellent with minor marks and clear optics. A beautiful custom Model 70!
