In addition, the right side of the chamber bears Liege proofs, while the left shows an American-style Ordnance Bomb next to a "0". Smooth hardwood stock, with a brown leather sling and steel buttplate. These rifles were highly popular sporting guns when they arrived on the surplus market, leaving high condition examples very rare.

Excellent, with 95% of the original finish, showing bright wear along the edges and scattered handling marks. The stock is fine, with a crack at the toe , and some mild dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
