The chamber is dated "1918" and the "crown / ERFURT" is marked on the toggle. The right side of the barrel extension is marked with three crown over Gothic letter proofs and the Imperial eagle, and the breech end of the barrel is marked with a single crown over Gothic letter proof and the Imperial eagle. The Imperial eagle is marked on the left side of the breech block and most parts are marked with a single crown over Gothic letter proof. The matching serial number is marked on the left side of the barrel extension, front of the frame and on the bottom of the barrel along with the bore diameter "8,83". The small components are marked with the partial serial number "35". Standard fixed sights, blue finish with straw colored small parts, unmarked nickel magazine with wooden base, and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Excellent plus. The pistol retains 98% plus original blue finish, showing some thinning on the muzzle and front strap, and some high edge wear. The small parts retain 95% bright original straw color. The grips are also excellent with some minor pressure dents and crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent. An extraordinary example of an original unissued World War I Erfurt Military Luger.
