Manufactured in 1935, the Republican Guard Contract Luger uses a 1906 pattern frame with a grip safety, smooth backstrap and tapered pencil barrel. Of the 564 made, the earliest documented serial number is "1921v", placing this pistol near the very front of the run and the eighth Luger manufactured as part of the contract. Fixed sights, with the chamber stamped "GNR" (Guarde, Nationale Republicanie) and the Mauser banner on the toggle. The left side of the barrel extension and underside of the barrel has a small "Crown/U" firing proof and it numbered is in the military manner with the full serial number on the frame, underside of the barrel and barrel extension. The various small parts have the last two digits of the serial number (28) marked on the outside of the parts. This model also has the extractor and safety area marked: "CARREGADA" and "SEGURANCA" respectively. Included with the pistol are one nickel bodied, aluminum based unnumbered magazine, a brown leather flap holster stamped "3E/136" on the rear, a drift pin tool and a combination barrel rod and oiler.

Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish, with bright edge wear, scattered handling marks and a small amount of spotting. The grips are very fine with mild dents. The holster is fine with some crazing of finish and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
