Description:

This uniquely serialized Colt Model 1902 Military Automatic Pistol includes the factory letter which states this pistol was shipped to the Honeyman Hardware Company in Portland, Oregon on November 12, 1910 and lists the finish as "blue" and does not identify the type of stocks. The slide has the grooved grip serriations on the rear introduced in 1906 half-moon shaped front sight and round profile rear sight. The checkered stocks have "COLT in a ribbon and circled Rampant Colt. The right side of the slide has the two line caliber marking with Rampant Colt behind serrations. The left side of the slide has the third style patent/address. Trigger guard has the Colt "triangle/VP" proofmark and "W" assembler's mark. "PAT'D, SEPT. 9. 1884" is on bottom of the magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The pistol retains 60% plus of the original blue finish. Most of the wear is concentrated on the grip strap and back strap and there is some very fine pitting on the right edge of the grip. There is muzzle wear and high point wear on the slide and scattered patches of age discoloration on the slide and frame. The barrel retains most of the original blue finish. The markings on the frame and slide are sharp. The grips are very good with light-moderate handling wear. The magazine has a silver gray patina with several shallow dents in the floor plate. This is a very fine example of the most popular Colt large frame automatic pistol prior to the introduction of Model 1911 Automatic Pistol. How can you pass on serial number 33333?
