Manufactured in 1946. The slide has standard two line, two block patent dates and address markings with the Rampant Colt on the right side and the left side has the caliber marking with the Rampant Colt. The trigger guard has the Colt triangle proof and the number "5" on the left side and "40" on the right side. All blue magazine with Colt caliber marking.

Very fine. The pistol retains 80% plus original blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the grip straps and some minor high edge wear and scattered surface blemishes. The grips are excellent with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
