Manufactured in 1918, this pistol is one of 3,900 shipped to Springfield Armory on March 27, 1918. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block 1897-1913 patent dates and address, with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, the left side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" is marked on the right side of the slide. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number and the left side is marked with the circle "JMG" inspection mark of Major John M. Gibert. The barrel chamber is marked with an "H" and "P" and the rear of the slide is marked with the letter "H" above the firing pin. Fixed sights, lanyard ring on the heel, unmarked two tone magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips with diamond around the screws.

Professionally restored to near mint condition. The grips are as new. The markings clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
