Originally produced in August of 1944, notes from the consignor state that the sniper conversion was performed by Tooele Army Depot in Utah in January 1969 using a Springfield barrel and other components. "DRC" and "W" marked sight drums, Springfield bolt, trigger group, operating rod and "1-52" dated barrel. An M84 Telescopic Sight is included, serial numbered "L9569" with sunshields. Smooth stock, with "circled P/star/P" on the wrist, a green canvas sling and a faded National Guard label on the buttstock. Also included are a CMP box, certificate, scope pouch, flash hider, new production cheekpiece with lace, cleaning tools, clips and a pair of manuals.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, showing 90% of the parkerized finish, with areas of bright wear on the edges and gas tube, along with some scattered handling marks. Stock is good, with dents and scratches appropriate to age. The adjustment knob covers have been detached from the scope, which is otherwise very good with mild external wear and clear optics. Mechanically excellent.
