Description:

Charles Marion Russell, also known as C.M. Russell, was known as the famous "cowboy artist" who created paintings and sculptures of indians, cowboys and landscapes during the late 1800's and early 1900's. One bronze sculpture is of an indian woman on a canoe holding a spear. This sculpture measures 14 3/4 inches tall, 8 1/2 inches wide and 24 1/2 inches long, and rests on a 1 3/8 inch tall marble plinth. The other bronze sculpture is of an indian man on a canoe holding a bow with a dead game bird on top of a wolf laying behind him. This sculpture measures 15 3/4 inches tall, 9 3/4 inches wide and 28 inches long, and also rests on a 1 3/8 inch marble plinth. Both sculptures have gold colored highlighted areas and are signed "C.M. RUSSEL".

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, both the bronze and highlighted areas retain their deep natural colors. The plinth on the Indian woman sculpture has a small chip in the marble on one side along the edge.
