Description:

This is an excellent original example of a scarce pre-war Polish Eagle Radom VIS-35 pistol as manufactured in 1939. After the fall of Poland in early WWII the Polish Radom pistols became a secondary issue weapon used widely throughout WWII by the German Army. These early pistols can be distinguished by the Polish Eagle and the date of manufacture on the side of the slide. The grips have "VIS" molded into the right grip and "FB" into the left. These early pre-war pistols are all equipped with the three, levers: decocking, slide stop and takedown lever, on the left side of the slide and frame. The rear back strap was also milled with a slot for a detachable wooden shoulder stock similar to those used on Lugers and 1896 Mauser pistols. The left side of the slide is marked in two lines/two blocks with "F.B. RADOM/1939r" followed by "VIS-wz.35/pat. Nr.15567", with the "Polish Eagle" crest in-between. The full serial number (32192) is located on the right side of the frame behind the take down lever pin hole, inside the frame slot inside the slide and (2192) on the back side of the bright polished barrel lug. Both sides of the trigger guard bow have the small Radom factory proof and inspection marks. The magazine has a dull blue finish and is unmarked.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish with only very minor edge wear on the front edge of the slide, with a small rub mark under the decocking lever. The black plastic grips are also excellent with nice sharp checkering and Radom factory markings. The pistol has matching numbers. Mechanically excellent.
