Description:

Manufactured from 1946 to 1950 with this example not having the "S" serial number prefix. Top of barrel has the two line address/patent dates information with "SMITH & WESSON" on the left side. The side plate has the S&W trademark. Barrel and cylinder are numbered to the gun, the frame and crane have matching "2860" assembly numbers. Fitted with checkered S&W medallion grips.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 95% original blue finish showing some minor holster wear and minor thinning on the grip straps. The trigger and hammer retain strong and vibrant original case colors. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering.
