Description:

This bronze plaque shows the three founders of the Pony Express, is dated 1860-1861 to 1960-1961. In addition, the plaque depicts a lone Pony Express rider on horseback following the Overland route from St. Joseph, MO. to Sacramento, CA. The plaque is signed underneath the Pony Express logo and there is a Frank Hays Metalworks of Sonoma, CA. stamp at the top. The bronze plaque measures 16 1/2 inches in diameter and weighs 12 lbs.

Rating Definition:

Very good, 98% has a nice dark patina with a few small bright spots and some small stress cracks.
