Description:

1) This large bronze sculpture is of Hiawatha who was an Iroquois Indian Chief who lived in the 16th Century. He is standing with a bow in one hand looking attentively into the sky. He is dressed in Native American attire with a peace medal around his neck. Measures 33 inches tall. 2) This bronze is also known as Indian Maiden in Canoe. The Indian squaw is paddling her canoe going to market. Her eyes glance sideways to the bank while her feet rest prone to the canoe. She is dressed in fancy Native American attire and the bronze rests on a contoured marble plinth. Measures 15 inches long x 11 inches high x 9 inches wide. The bronze is signed on the left side of the base "Duchoiselle" (French 19th C.).

Rating Definition:

1) Very good, has a nice dark patina. 2) Very good with a nice aged patina.
