Description:

This extraordinary 1903A1 National Match Rifle is listed by serial number in the D.C.M. rifle sales book with the notation "NMA1". The barrel has a star gauge mark on the muzzle. "S A/flaming bomb/12-36" is marked just behind the fixed front sight. Ladder rear sight and standard markings on the receiver. The rear sight has a 2,850 yard notch at the top. The polished bolt is numbered to the gun. Mounted on a smooth walnut pistol grip stock with sling swivels, boxed "S.A./S.P.G." cartouche, "circled P" proof, marked with the matching serial number and "D-1836" with a checkered steel buttplate with trapdoor. With a front and rear sight covers and a voucher numbered to the gun located in the trapdoor.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. 98% of the original blue finish remains with some high edge and muzzle wear. 98% of the parkerizing remains with some pitting under the finish on the trigger guard. The stock is also excellent with some minor chipping, some scattered scratches and some dings. Mechanically excellent.
