Manufactured in 1957, the second year of Second Generation production. This revolver features approximately 70% coverage of floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the barrel, outer edge of the ejector housing, frame, cylinder flats and back strap. The rear edge of the cylinder also has a rope and scallop design, there is a shell design on the top of the back strap and loading gate, a scollop zigzag and dot design on the top of the ejector housing, a simple vine and leaf pattern on the top strap and a decorative simple line design on the trigger guard and lower front sides of the frame. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address in a scallop bordered panel, the left side is marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" in a panel and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt in a banner. The matching serial number is marked on the frame and on the grip straps under the grip. Blue finish with casehardened frame and niter blue trigger and hammer with polished sides. Standard fixed sights and fitted with a smooth one-piece ivory grip. No factory letter is available at time of description, so it will be offered as custom engraved.

Near mint with 99% plus blue and casehardened finish showing only the slightest handling marks. The grip is excellent with several hairline age cracks on the bottom and an attractive grain and patina. The engraving and markings remain sharp. The action is excellent.
