Produced circa 1870-1882. Top strap groove sight, with the left side marked "MY FRIEND" below the cylinder. Seven-shot unfluted cylinder, with matching numbers on the cylinder, trigger, pin and frame and a cutout for a cylinder stop on the underside of the frame. Frame is decorated with scroll, burst and punch dot engraving. Solid grip section, with a checkered panel on the rear.

Poor, with a mixed brown patina and mild pitting on the cylinder. The hammer has been repaired, and an extended spur installed. A mottled dark patina is present on the frame, lighter on the sideplate, with scattered dings. Mechanically fair.

Fair as refinished, showing 95% of the current nickel, with scattered sub-surface pitting under the heavy buffing, mild flaking on the cylinder, and scattered handling marks. Cylinder pin is a replacement. Mechanically very good.
